At a time of deep recession one of the things many of us have to let go is the extra money we pay for health care, both in the form of coverage and the purchases we make at the pharmacy.
It’s a tough choice to make, simply because if we do fall sick, without coverage we suddenly have a huge problem.
What can you do?
When the rent or mortgage plus food bills and credit card payments eat up most of your income, something has to give.
I started worrying about this a few years ago. In fact, I began to get seriously paranoid about my income. Basically I felt I could no longer trust the income I was getting from the companies I worked for. If they fell on hard times, my sources of income would dry up pretty fast.
So I began to research other ways to make some reliable extra income.
I wanted a way to make extra money that was totally in my control, wouldn’t require my full-time attention and would contribute a good chunk of money to my total revenues each month.
That was three years ago. And now I have that source of income in place and producing well. In fact, it pays me between $2,500 and $6,500 a month. That’s more than enough to pay for my health care costs. Plus a tidy extra sum for whatever else I need to pay or save for.
How did I do it? I simple worked part-time on writing a web site about a topic I knew a bit about.
My site is about coffee. You can see it here. CoffeeDetective.com.
It’s not a fancy site. Not high-tech or hard to create.
But after three years it now has almost 600 pages and gets over 1,000 visitors a day. When those visitors click on ads or affiliate links I make money. That’s where the $2,500 to $6,500 a month comes from.
This isn’t a way to make millions or to get rich quick.
But it is a super-reliable way to generate a solid monthly income.
While my other sources of income have shrunk considerably as a result of the current economic downturn, the revenues from my coffee site have continued to grow.
This is something almost anyone can do.
You can go ahead and get started on your own, or you can follow the exact steps I took by getting a copy of my program, How to Write Your Own Money-Making Websites.
The program is based on my experiences and learning while creating my own sites.
It’s a simple, step by step process and, if you work at it, pretty much foolproof.
